This three-tier barnyard beauty did exactly that.
Whether it was for a baby shower or a first birthday (the excitement of that day stole the exact occasion right out of my head), every square inch of this cake was designed to make people smile.
The bottom tier kicks things off with that classic black-and-white cow print—bold, clean, and instantly recognizable. It sets the tone: we’re on the farm, and we’re doing it right.
The middle tier? That’s my nod to the iconic farmer’s bandana. You know the one—tied around the neck, tucked in a pocket, used to wipe the sweat after a long day’s work. Translating that paisley pattern into edible art takes patience, precision, and a whole lot of love, but the payoff is worth it. This double-digit showpiece was sculpted into the number 80, with each side telling a different story:
🎣 The “8” featured a shimmering buttercream lake with fishing bobbers, a rod, and a fondant fish jumping from the water. The details — like the wooden “Gone Fishin’” sign — added rustic charm and fun.
🏈 The “0” celebrated Lenny’s lifelong loyalty to the New York Giants, with a textured buttercream football field, goal lines, and the signature team logo.
The cake was displayed against the Manhattan skyline at the beautiful Hotel Chantelle rooftop on the Lower East Side — a perfect setting for an elegant, heartfelt celebration.

This three-tier masterpiece was designed entirely in buttercream — not fondant — a true test of craftsmanship and precision. The top tier featured a hand-sculpted basketball, perfectly textured and detailed. The middle tier incorporated quilted buttercream work and the celebrant’s initials “JP,” while the bottom tier showcased bold team-inspired stripes, the celebrant’s name, and a custom hand-modeled figurine holding a basketball.
Every detail was piped, smoothed, and shaped by hand — no shortcuts, no stencils, no fondant sheets — just skill, vision, and pure buttercream artistry.

This flower cake is pink, golden, and so romantic. The most challenging part is the flowers. We put a lot of efforts into it and the it turned out surprisingly pretty!

The Edition Hotel ordered the cake from us and it is the cake for one of their guests, who were celebrating their special moments while staying at The Edition Hotel. It's so sweet and we are so happy that we contributed to write this lovely story by making this custom cake for them.
