OUR STORY

​​Snooky's Cakes has been around for over seventy years. I stumbled upon my grandmother Snooky's original carrot cake recipe while renovating her kitchen in Charlotte, North Carolina. The recipe was etched on the back of a cabinet that I was about to discard. One leisurely Saturday I decided to bake the cake from the recipe that Mama Snooky left behind. I did so and, you know what, it was the most delicious carrot cake I ever tasted.

As a restaurant owner I've spent most of my time insuring food quality as well as speaking with guests. Time after time patrons would ask me : "What's in that carrot cake?". I'd explain to them that, "it's my grandmother's secret spices and a whole lot of love". Shortly after introducing the cake to patrons in the restaurant not only was I selling more carrot cake in the area, but I was selling more cake than any other restaurant in the area. Soon patrons where asking to purchase entire cakes.

Today Snooky's Cakes are sold at some of New York City's finest gourmet markets and restaurants, to caterers and local party planners.
